Supervision available starting at 8:30 a.m. and lasting until 4:30 p.m. For middle schoolers, including students who will be graduating from middle school in Spring 2012 or entering middle school in Fall 2012. This camp is designed to teach problem-solving skills and to interest middle school students in computer science. Based on a successful $2.7 million project funded by the National Science Foundation, CHAMPS emphasizes hands-on activities in which students use computers to create animated story worlds. At the heart of CHAMPS is Alice educational software developed by Carnegie Mellon University to teach students problem-solving using computer programming in a three-dimensional environment.

Each summer, through the generous support of the Crystal Charity Ball, the UT Dallas Callier Center coordinates a fun-filled summer camp for children with cochlear implants.
Graduate students from the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at UT Dallas participate as camp counselors for the campers.
The campers receive listening and speech-language therapy and participate in camp activities such as fishing, arts and crafts and music.
The campers also have the opportunity to be with other children who have cochlear implants, and family members have an opportunity to come together and share information.

It is a three-week intensive summer camp for mathematically gifted students from around the globe. This year it will take place at UT-Dallas, Cornell U, and UC-Santa Cruz. This is an intensive mathematics program designed for highly motivated students who wish to accelerate their mathematics education. Students attend daily classes taught by experienced mathematics teachers in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry or Precalculus. The classroom setting is highly interactive and adapted to each individual student's ability and pace. Boarding is included. During their free time in the evenings and on weekends, participants have the opportunity to interact with other academically driven peers in fun, educational and recreational activities and field trips.
