  • Practice SAT, Practice ACT and Practice PSAT tests

    01/28/2012 (SAT). 9AM-1:30PM for Practice SAT; 9AM-1:30PM for Practice ACT; 9AM-12PM for Practice PSAT.
    These practice tests are sponsored by Clark Orchestra Booster Club and Princeton Review.

    Cost: $10.00 cash only, due by registration deadline. No checks will be accepted. Registration fee is non-refundable. Please bring your registration form and the money to Ms. Reeta Shah at Clark High School Library. Walk-Ins will NOT be accepted.

    Volunteers are needed to proctoring the tests on the test day. For those who come to volunteer, the registration fee for their children will be waived.

    On the test day, bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. Please show up 30 minutes before the testing.

    Strategy Session and Test Scores: 02/23/2012 (THU). 6:30PM-8PM. Location: Clark High School Cafeteria.

  • Dallas Child Trinity River Art Contest

    This art contest is open to kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade. There are three divisions: K-3 grades, 4-6 grades, and 7-8 grades. Use your imagination to illustrate, color, paint, collage, or draw the Trinity River and the things that are found in and around the Trinity River. The winning drawings will be chosen and displayed during the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge Celebration. The amounts of the prize money for the winners are from $25 to $100. A panel of professionals will judge the contest. These submissions may be made online at Trinity River Art Contest Online Entry Form, by mail or hand delivery. The contest ends on 01/15/2012 (Sun).   • Think and Speak Up Event: Conflict Resolution

    If you or your kids would like to learn how to better handle conflict situations, Dr. Lisa Wang, Director of Think and Speak Up, would like to invite you to attend their FREE seminar.

  • Chinese Lion Dance

    • 01/20/2012 (Fri). 11:30AM-1:00PM. Location: Museum of Nature & Science (see map). To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, enjoy “lion dance” performers with Chin Woo, Inc. at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Chinese New Year Celebration and craft time until 1 p.m. Discover how people in your community celebrate traditional holidays while exploring decoration, dress, play foods and literature.   • Cirque de la Symphonie

    01/21/2012 (Sat). Location: Hill Performance Hall at Eisemann Center Theatre (see map). Plano Symphony Orchestra joins the "Cirque de la Symphonie" performers in favorite works, including: "Bolero," "Les Toreadors from "Carmen," "Bacchanale" from "Samson and Delilah," "Dance of the Swans" from "Swan Lake," and "Across the Stars" from "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones."   • AMC10A and AMC10B Math Competitions at HauYi Education

    Ms. Wen Yi, The Principal of HuaYi Education, would like to let you know that HuaYi Education is going to host American MathematicsCompetition 10(both AMC10A and AMC10B) this year. AMC10 is American Mathematics Competitions for Grade 10 and under. AMC10A will take place on 02/07/2012 (Tue), AMC10B on 02/22/2012 (Wed). Both tests start 7:00pm.   • Free Tax Help

    02/03-03/14/2012. 11:30AM-3:30PM. Free tax assistance is available to the public (provided by AARP volunteers) at 4 Plano Libraries: Hggard (Mon), Parr (Tue), Schimelpfenig (Fri), and Harrington (Sat). Sing-up is not required at Haggard and Parr Libraries, but is required at Schimelpfenig and Harrington and starts at 9AM.
